This statement is really true and has motivated many to step up and join the exercise ship, in order to attain maximum fitness and eventual health. Many a times, people start off very well once they board, nonetheless, as time passes by, they no longer see reasons to continue and therefore, they just lose the zeal to keep working out. This might arise due to many different reasons but we have carefully thought out ways to help you stay faithful to your workout plans and maximize them for effective outcomes.

1. Keep Your Mind Focused On The End Result

Many people tend to lose track of why they are training and the benefits behind it due to the little time it consumes and energy it demands from them. However, if you keep the benefits and end result in your mind you tend to have something to look forward to. Whenever you feel like quitting, the price of your work would still keep you in check and this will help keep you determined.

2. Patience

Everything takes time to materialize. The common phrase “rome wasn’t built in a day” is true and is applicable in this case. Most people tend to give up when their desired physical features do not start showing up just days into their routines. If the features do not show by then, it doesn’t mean that they are not effective. Give it some time and be sure to see improvements. Also know that the benefits are not only in the outward appearance but your health is being put in check as well.

3. Don’t Let Yourself Get Used To A Particular Workout Routine

Continuously doing the same thing without seeing the results you expect can really be frustrating. There’s no amount of time you would spend using your house key to start your car engine and see it start. If you are not seeing “your desired” results, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the work outs are not useful, but you might just be faithful with the wrong course. Make researches based on your desired outcome and put the same level of commitment to it and be sure to see positive results.

4. Keep Track Of Your Developments

This particular point has a negative side effect as most people tend to believe that they have arrived as they look at their progress and tend to slack behind but that shouldn’t be the case, given the fact that all developments should act as motivation to do more. To the beginners, this is very important because it actually makes you believe that whatsoever your end result is, it is still attainable.

Conclusion

Keeping a steady workout plan and staying faithful to it can be really hard but not impossible. Just make sure you have a picture of what you desire to attain from this plan, engage yourself on the right exercises to attain it, keep track of any developments and be patient with your plan because with dedication, you would surely hit your intended target.

But then, there are so many machines around and you tend to get confused as to which of these machines will actually help you reach your weight loss goals.

Below are 4 best gym machines that will help you shed some pounds and be in better shape:

1. Treadmills

Every standard gyms has these machines in abundance. These machines accommodate almost any fitness level or goals. If weight list is one of your goals, then working out on a treadmill should be, too. Treadmills help in weight loss because they stimulate a real-life movement i.e walking and running.
The treadmill also helps you stay on a steady pace, without moving faster or breaking.

2. Resistance static bikes

These bikes not only help you lose weight more efficiently, but also help you build more muscles. It works almost the same way a normal bike works. The only difference is that it doesn’t move and most importantly it can provide some resistance, just like riding a bike up a hill.

3. Rowing Machine

This is a machine that just make you look like you’re rowing a boat. It comes along with a water-filled flywheel on the front of the machine which mimics the dynamic resistance of a boat gliding over water which creates a consistent resistance throughout the entire stroke.

Rowing not only work your arms and back, it utilizes more than 80 percent of your muscle mass. By spreading the workload over the entire body, you’re able to work at a higher intensity and go longer.

4. StepMill by Stairmaster

This machine simulates the sensation of climbing stairs, and the only difference is that the steps on the machine actually move. This machine also forces you to bear all your body-weight because you’re walking against gravity. Unfortunately though, not all gyms have this machine.

Conclusion

If you can spend most your time in the gym with these four machines, be assured of shedding a considerable amount of weight within weeks. You should find out if a gym that has all four of these machines before registering.

But then you want that fit body more so you will go out into the harsh weather just to get it. It will be rough but here are some tips to make it easier.

Check with your doctor.

Schedule a meeting with your doctor before at the beginning of the winter to get any necessary medication and health advice you’ll need to be spending so much time outdoors during the winter. Especially if you are asthmatic or have other breathing problems, make sure to get a refill of inhalers or Advair, you might need those.

Layer wisely.

You do not want to catch a cold out there cause you were exposed. Make sure you are heavily clothed before heading out, that way you won’t feel the cold and it will help your body sweat more. But don’t just wear one very thick layer of clothing, it is better to wear several thin layers of clothes and peel them off one by one gradually after workout to avoid being hit at once and at full force by the cold.

Start slowly.

You are used to exercise during the summer but this is different. If you usually run for two miles in the summer try to reduce it to one mile at the beginning of winter and ease into it slowly. You can even warm up indoors before going out to avoid sprains or straining your muscles, jump rope is a good way to warm up.

Take warmer routes.

Avoid running/jogging near place with a lot of ice or near water, take routes with less ice. You do not want to expose yourself to biting winds and risk frost bite

Avoid early workouts.

If you are someone who like to work out early in the morning, try not to do it on days that it is really cold in the morning. Wait for the day to warm up before going out. Exercising in the afternoon when the sun is out is best.

Wear breathable fabrics.

When you work out you sweat, if you are wearing really thick and tight clothes your sweat will build up around your body and make you feel colder. Choose wind-repellent fabric.

Working out in the cold is very rewarding because your body is forced to work harder in order to combat the cold so you end up burning more calories. Just take precaution as to not risk your body’s health in the process.

But sometimes defining your triceps can be a very tricky task, which is why we have come up with 5 of the best triceps workout you should always try out for bigger muscles.

Triceps push-ups

Triceps push-ups are a great triceps exercise, and a slight variety of the normal push-ups. The key to remember when doing triceps push-ups is to make your hands in the shape of a diamond, and then you get on a plank position, make sure your hands are positioned closer than shoulder width-apart, this will work your triceps. Don’t ache your back, keep your head and neck in a straight line so you’re looking at the ground, slowly go down to the floor until it is touching it then go back up until your hands are fully extended, then repeat.

Triceps kickbacks

The triceps kickbacks targets the triceps muscle, helps with your elbow or lower back problems. For this, you start by placing your knee on the bench, then your hand. Make sure your body is at a 45 degree angle, bring the dumbbell up to your waist, with your upper arm stable, strain out your arm and remember not to lock your elbow. The dumbbell should be facing down, up, and slowly back down. When you’re done doing the set, you switch over to the other arm. Remember to keep your abs locked in.

Triceps overhead dumbbell extensions

This is called overhead because you’re bringing it over your head… Stand straight with your shoulder width apart, hold the dumbbell and rest it on your shoulder while you’re pointing it up to the ceiling. Grab the weight and lower it back as if to scratch your back underneath your head. flex the triceps on top when you’re bringing it down and stretch it out. Make sure you control it, and don’t extend it with your arm straight out; keep it a little bend. Control it and give it a good squeeze while bringing it down and a good flex on top. You can do 8-10 reps and about 3 sets, and then switch arms and repeat.

Lying triceps extensions

Lie with your back on a bench and hold a barbell above your chest arms length, then keep your arm rigid and lower the bar slowly until it is almost touching your forehead. Raise the bar back to the starting position and repeat.

Triceps arm pullover

There are many ways to perform this exercise; the most common is with dumbbells and flat bench. You lie down on a bench with your feet on the floor, and place the weight directly on your head. Lower the weight towards your forehead and carefully keep your elbows from moving, then straighten your hands and keep them under control using a full range of motion. Keeping your arms healthy and under control can help isolate the triceps muscle.
